About the Role

Amherst County is seeking qualified Part-Time Dispatchers to join our Emergency Communications team. This position plays

a critical role in public safety by receiving emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatching appropriate emergency

response units.

Position Summary

Under general supervision, the dispatcher receives calls from the public, obtains accurate and detailed information, and

transmits that information to emergency response personnel in accordance with department policies and procedures.
